1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TRT Lab mobile application ("App") and this website (collectively, the "Service") operated by TRT Lab ("we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
TRT Lab is a personal tracking and optimization tool designed for individuals managing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). The App provides features including:
- Protocol configuration and injection logging
- Pharmacokinetic modeling to estimate testosterone and estradiol levels over time
- Bloodwork result logging and trend analysis
- Daily wellness journaling with symptom tracking
- Local notification reminders for injections, medications, and journaling
- Premium features available through optional subscription ("TRT Pro")
The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use. TRT Lab does not require user accounts and stores your data locally on your device.
3. Not Medical Advice
TRT Lab is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App is an informational and organizational tool only. Nothing in the Service — including estimated testosterone levels, bloodwork classifications, optimization suggestions, or trend analyses — constitutes medical advice or a recommendation to start, stop, or modify any treatment.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any decisions about your health, hormone therapy, medications, or laboratory results. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information displayed in TRT Lab.
4. Educational Use Only
All content, calculations, charts, classifications, and insights provided by TRT Lab are intended for educational and informational purposes only. The App is designed to help you organize and visualize your own health data — not to replace clinical judgment, laboratory analysis by qualified professionals, or personalized medical guidance.
Reference ranges, biomarker classifications (such as "low," "optimal," or "high"), and optimization suggestions are general in nature and may not reflect your individual medical circumstances, comorbidities, or treatment goals as determined by your physician.
5. Testosterone and Hormone Estimates
TRT Lab uses two-compartment pharmacokinetic modeling based on published pharmacokinetic data and FDA prescribing information to estimate blood serum testosterone and estradiol levels over time. These estimates are mathematical projections only and are subject to significant individual variation.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Estimated levels are not laboratory measurements and should not be treated as such
- Actual serum concentrations depend on factors including individual metabolism, injection technique, body composition, SHBG levels, concurrent medications, and adherence — many of which the model cannot fully account for
- Peak, trough, and steady-state estimates are approximations intended to illustrate general trends, not precise clinical values
- You should rely on actual laboratory blood tests performed by accredited laboratories and interpreted by qualified healthcare providers for clinical decision-making
6. Bloodwork Interpretation
When you log bloodwork results in TRT Lab, the App may classify biomarker values relative to general reference ranges and provide informational insights. This bloodwork interpretation is informational only and does not constitute a clinical laboratory report, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation.
Reference ranges vary by laboratory, assay method, age, and individual health status. Classifications displayed in the App are simplified for educational visualization and may not match the reference ranges used by your healthcare provider or testing laboratory.
7. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- All healthcare decisions related to your TRT protocol, medications, and laboratory monitoring
- The accuracy of data you enter into the App, including injection logs, doses, bloodwork values, and profile information
- Consulting qualified healthcare professionals for interpretation of laboratory results and treatment adjustments
- Maintaining backups of important health records outside the App, as local data may be lost if you uninstall the App or lose your device
- Using the App in compliance with applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
- Ensuring that testosterone replacement therapy is prescribed and supervised by a licensed healthcare provider where required by law
You agree not to use TRT Lab to self-prescribe, obtain, or administer testosterone or any other medication without appropriate medical supervision where such supervision is required.
8. Premium Subscriptions (TRT Pro)
TRT Lab offers optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions ("TRT Pro") available via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
8.1 Subscription Plans
Premium subscriptions include monthly and annual billing options. Current pricing is displayed within the App at the time of purchase. Product identifiers include trt_lab_pro_monthly and trt_lab_pro_yearly.
8.2 Billing and Renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current rate
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings
8.3 Free Features
Core tracking features, including protocol setup, injection logging, basic analytics, and limited medication tracking, remain available without a subscription. Premium features unlock additional tools such as advanced estrogen forecasting, bloodwork analysis, journal correlation, premium themes, custom dose overrides, and unlimited additional medication tracking.
8.4 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. TRT Lab does not process refunds directly. Contact Apple Support or Google Play Support for billing inquiries.
8.5 Restore Purchases
If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you may restore your premium subscription using the "Restore Purchases" option within the App, subject to the subscription being active on the same Apple ID or Google Play account used for the original purchase.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including the TRT Lab name, logo, visual design, user interface, pharmacokinetic models, software code, documentation, and all related content, is owned by TRT Lab and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except as permitted by applicable law
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
- Use the TRT Lab name, logo, or branding without prior written consent
- Use the Service to develop a competing product or service
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF INFORMATION.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that pharmacokinetic estimates, bloodwork classifications, or any other outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TRT LAB AND ITS DEVELOPERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LIABILITY FOR ANY HEALTH OUTCOMES, TREATMENT DECISIONS, OR HARM RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON ESTIMATED TESTOSTERONE LEVELS, BLOODWORK INTERPRETATIONS, OPTIMIZATION SUGGESTIONS, OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE APP.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTIONS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50.00).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TRT Lab and its developers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may add, change, or remove features, including premium features, as we continue to develop the App. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App. We may terminate or suspend your access to premium features if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends, but provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which TRT Lab operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TRT Lab regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
